Fore – элегия

Narrator: For a long, long time Snow White lay peacefully in the dwarfs' cottage until one day a King's son came riding by.

Prince: Who's this beautiful girl?

The fourth dwarf: She is a daughter of the King. Her name is Snow White. Her stepmother killed her. And who are you?

Prince: I am a prince and my country is far from here. I've been looking for wonderful princess from my dreams. But I can't find her anywhere. May I look at the King's daughter? The prince looked at Snow White.

The fourth dwarf: Yes, you may.

Narrator: The prince looked at Snow White, and she was so lovely that he couldn't help kissing her. Show White came alive. The prince and Snow White fell in love almost that very moment.

The fifth dwarf: How happy we are that you are alive, our dear Snow White!

Narrator: One month later in the dwarfs cottage:

The first dwarf: It's the night before Christmas, when all through the house

Not creature is stirring, not even a mouse;

The second dwarf: The stockings are hung by the chimney with care,

In hopes that St.Nicholas soon will be here;

The third dwarf: And we all are nestled all snug in our beds,

While visions of sugar-plums dance in our heads;

The fourth dwarf: And you in your ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,

Have just settled down for a long winter's nap,

The fifth dwarf: The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow

Give the luster of mid-day to objects below,

The sixth dwarf: When, what to our wondering eyes should appear,

But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer,

The seventh dwarf: With a little old driver, so lively and quick,

I know without doubt it must be St.Nick.
