2 Compare the British family with an average family from your country. Think of the following: house/jobs/hours of work/school/ transport / entertainment

Example: In my country most people live in flats. School starts at 8.00, not at 9.00, and finishes at 1.00

A journalist is interviewing Mr Williams about his job. Listen to the interview and fill in the chart.

On a separate piece of paper, draw a chart like the one for Mr Williams. The journalist is interviewing someone else about his job. Listen and fill in your chart.

'A life in the day of is a feature which appears in the Sunday Times newspaper every week. Well-known people describe an ordinary day in their life, and they talk about their habits and routines, their family and their work.

The article opposite is about Linda McCartney, the wife of Paul McCartney, who was one of the members of the Beatles in the 1960s and 1970s.
