But on the other hand if you choose to stay in your home town for further studying it can limit your choice of Universities. You also have less independence and your friends may move away to study. A lot of young people think that moving to another city and living in a student dormitory or rented apartments is an important part of university life. It gives you more independence and the chance to lead an adult life. If you live in a dormitory your dorm room may be small, especially if you share it with one, two or even three roommates. It can be fun or it can be a nightmare. Sometimes it is difficult to become best friends with your roommates or remain on good terms. What seems normal to you may drive your roommate crazy, and vice versa. To avoid disagreements before they start it is always good to talk to your roommates and ask them:
Remember that some people are tidy and others are slobs. Don't expect your messy roommate to become a neat-freak overnight. However, you can come to some agreements about how to keep your room tidy. Your desk can be as chaotic as you want without complaints from your roommates, but not the floor around your desk. Sometimes it is good to have a chart of chores so each person vacuums the carpet, dusts the furniture or cleans bathroom on certain days of the week. If you are ready to compromise and be on good terms, then you and your roommates can have great time during the studying course.
