Two students from one and the same university but different coursesmeet. They already know each other and start speaking about the exchange programmesoffered by their university.

Student A

You want to participate in a student exchange programme offered by youruniversity next year.Find out more information from your friend (who hassuch experience)about the documents to submit, necessary language confirmation, amount and durationof your courses, and the actions you should take to apply for this exchange programme. Ask as many indirect questions as you can.

You are a student who has already taken part in an international exchange programme and you know a lot about the procedure of application andall the related matters. Try toprovide your fellow student with any information he might need to participate in such a programme. You can think of some factual data like the names of peopleto address at your University or the deadlines to submit applications. In case youdon't know the answer to some questions refer your partner to other people whomight be of help (coordinators, professors, tutors, administration etc).

Astudent comes to the coordinator of international student exchangeprogrammes athis University to discuss some questions related to the programmesoffered.

Youare the student who has been recently informed about thepossibility of par­ticipating in an international exchange programme next year.However, you haven't made up your mind yet as you need some more information.Turn tothe University coordinator for help and ask any questions you are interested in.

You are the coordinator. Today is one of your reception days,so beready to talk to students and provide them with the necessary information. Don't forgetto mention the deadlinesfor the submission of the documents and makesure your students obtain all essential information concerning their future studies.

THE EUROPASS DIPLOMA SUPPLEMENT

The Europass was established to record student qualifications and compe­tencies, opening doors to learning and working in Europe, it consists of five documents: Europass Curriculum Vitae (CV), Europass Language Passport, Europass Certificate Supplement, Europass Diploma Supplement, and Europass Mobility.

The Europass Diploma Supplement is issued to graduates of higher educa­tional institutions together with their graduation diploma. It promotes transpar­ency between higher educational systems, provides accurate and up-to-date information on the qualifications of an individual. It aids the mobility and access to further study and employment abroad. Thus it helps to ensure that higher edu­cation qualifications are easier understood outside the country where they were awarded.

The Diploma Supplement is not issued for part-completed qualifications.
